Dear Franklin at Alma families, We are off to a great school year and all of you are a big reason why! The success of your child depends a lot on your support at home and school. What can you do to be involved at Franklin at Alma?
Parent Teacher Conferences Parent-Teacher conferences will be held the week of September 13 – 17. These conferences are a vital part of the communication between school and home which supports your child’s learning and academic progress. The following are a few key point to make conferences beneficial:
Franklin Parent Organization (FPO) The next FPO meeting is tonight – Tuesday, September 7th at 6:00pm in the library. If you are unable to attend but would like to share a comment or concern, please click here: FPO Feedback Form Early Release The following days and times are scheduled for early release so that teachers may prepare report cards and meet with parents during conferences.
Please click here for the full Franklin at Alma 2021-2022 School Calendar. Book Fair The Franklin Parent Organization (FPO) will be holding the annual Scholastic Book Fair during conference week. Stories create connections and tie us together wherever we are. Scholastic Book Fairs empower kids to find the stories that speak to them. They create community as we safely join each other in a shared love of reading and help provide the support for the Franklin at Alma library. You are invited to attend the book fair either in person or online. Book Fair Hours Monday, September 13 from 1:45pm – 6:00pm Tuesday, September 13 from 1:45pm – 5:00pm Wednesday, September 14 from 12:45pm – 4:00pm Thursday, September 15 from 1:45pm – 4:00pm Or visit us online by clicking here: Franklin at Alma Book Fair From the Cafeteria For the entire 2021-2022 school year, the district is able to provide FREE breakfast and lunch for all children 18 and under through an extension of the USDA summer food service program. These free meals are when students get a full meal. The cost for getting just a milk is 50¢. Students who want an extra milk or would like a milk with their packed lunch from home will need to either bring 50¢or have money in their lunch account. For any questions, please contact the cafeteria at 480-472-3907. As a reminder, please call the office at 480-472-3903 if your child is going to be absent or if there are changes to how they should go home.
