Dear Franklin at Alma families,

Pictures:

School pictures have arrived. Please see below for how picture packets will be delivered.

  • In-Person Students – pictures will be sent home on Tuesday, December 15th

  • Remote Students – pictures can be picked up in the office on Tuesday, Dec 15th from 8:30am – 5:30pm or Wednesday, Dec 16th from 8:30 – 4:00pm.ย If you are ill or someone in your home has tested positive, please call the office to make other arrangements.

Early Release:

This Friday, December 18th is an early release at 12:15pm. Please make arrangements to pick your child up at school or at the bus stop on time.

Class Parties:

This Friday, December 18th are the winter classroom parties. In-person and remote teachers have planned some fun activities to celebrate the end of the semester. Class parties are from 11:15am – 12:15pm. We have several guidelines in place to keep everyone safe and healthy during the parties, so please do NOT send any treats to school without permission from the teacher.

Winter Break:

There is no school from December 21st – January 1st. Please enjoy the holiday season while keeping yourself and each other safe. Wash hands, social distance, and wear masks.

Second Semester:

We will be starting our second semester in a remote setting for all students on January 4, 2021 with the hope that we can return to in person learning (for those who have selected it) on Tuesday, January 19, 2021.

  • At this time, there are no changes to classroom or teacher assignments. We felt that it was important for all students to start the new semester with a teacher they already know and have a relationship with.

  • Once we have a confirmed date for a return to Modified In Person learning, you will receive additional information regarding your studentโ€™s classroom and/or teacher assignment for the remainder of the school year based on your survey responses.

On-Site Center:

During the two weeks of remote learning, January 4 – 15, 2021, Franklin at Alma will offer an on-site support center for students who need a safe place to go during the day. Students will log in and work on their remote learning in a supervised environment. The centers will follow all health and safety guidelines, including physical distancing and limited group sizes. Face masks are required for staff and students.
